Activities of the Scientific Council

The Scientific Council is a collegial governing body of the Center, established to resolve important issues related to the activities of the Center.

In its activities, the Scientific Council is guided by the requirements of relevant legislative acts, the Charter of the Center and these Regulations.

The Scientific Council is formed by the Director General of the Center, his deputies, the scientific secretary of the center, laboratory heads, the chairman of the trade union, leading scientists from local and foreign countries. Its composition is approved by the order of the Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change for a one-year term, on the recommendation of the Director General of the Center.

The Scientific Council is chaired by the Director General of the Center. In the absence of the Director General of the Center, the Scientific Council is chaired by his Deputy for Science and Innovation.

The Scientific Secretary of the Center with a scientific degree serves as the secretariat of the Scientific Council.

The Secretary of the Scientific Council maintains documents on the activities of the Scientific Council.

The Scientific Council organizes its activities in accordance with the annual work plan.

General control over the implementation of the work plan of the Scientific Council and the decisions taken is exercised by the Chairman of the Scientific Council.

Purpose, tasks and powers of the Scientific Council

PURPOSE - To ensure the implementation of the activities and capabilities of the Center in accordance with the tasks established by the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Science and Scientific Activity" and other legislative acts, to discuss problems and scientific solutions related to the field.

DUTIES - To determine the priorities and deepening of socio-political changes in the country and reforms in the field of medicine;

Discusses scientific research and gives a conclusion on behalf of the Center;

Approves the topics and annual work plans of the Center's scientific research laboratories;

Recommends scientific staff for scientific titles;

considers fundamental, practical, innovative projects planned for implementation within the framework of scientific and practical literature, manuals, scientific developments, articles, scientific and technical programs;

considers reports of the heads of the Center and its structures.

The Scientific Council also performs other tasks within its authority in accordance with the procedure established by law.

POWERS - To consider the organization of scientific research at the Center and the state requirements imposed on them;

organize competitions for the appointment of laboratory heads and employees with scientific degrees;

submit documents of applicants for the academic title of professor, senior research fellow for consideration and approval;

discuss scientific research works and give conclusions on their results;

recommend scientific employees with scientific degrees, independent researchers for advanced training and internships in leading scientific institutions of foreign countries;

assign scientific researchers to laboratories and appoint scientific advisors to them;

review of research topics and projects;

approval of current (annual) and prospective plans for the development of the Center's activities, review of reports on financial and economic activities;

development of recommendations on improving state policy in the field of cultivation and processing of medicinal plants;

development of proposals for the organization and improvement of educational and methodological work on retraining and advanced training of personnel in the pharmaceutical industry;

preparation of proposals on the introduction of new areas of retraining and advanced training of pharmaceutical personnel;

submission of proposals for the publication of periodicals, scientific-theoretical and practical publications on topical problems of scientific research on the cultivation and processing of medicinal plants;

interaction in accordance with the established procedure with similar scientific institutions of local and foreign countries on issues of retraining and advanced training of pharmaceutical personnel.

The Scientific Council may also have other powers established by law.
